Things I Love Saturday!
Wow, it's been a while. 0_0 Exercise- Lame, yes, but it works. I shoveled ten times my weight in snow today, listening to t.A.t.U the whole time, 'The Best' CD. It took a couple of hours, and I hurt so much afterwards, but it felt good to 'work out' like that. The New PostSecret book- I read the newest one today, and I might actually send in a postcard of my own now. I just have to design it and hope that it gets published. I might actually go through with my secret if it happens. :) Buying concert tickets- I just bought concert tickets for the Breaking Benjamin concert in May on the 22nd. Am currently dying of anticipation. :D :D :D :D Finding my camera cord- I can put pics up now! Yay! :D

Things I Love SundaySleeping- Lately I've been in a tired funk, and it is no fun. I have been really stressed with school and extracurricular activities, but ENOUGH! I need mah zees. And now that the cold is settling it, diving under the covers with warm kitten-print jammies is really a nice way to end the day.My new hair- I am no longer subject to blond jokes, cause I am now a TOFFEE brunette! It's the first time that I've EVER had dark hair in my life, it's always been a shade of blond or dishwater blond, so this chocolate-toffee-rich-coffee hue is just great for me. It may be a temp thing, but for now, I'm digging it majorly. Breaks- Fall break was a beautiful thing, and Thanksgiving break will be as well. Going to St. Louis to see The Family and to snarf down some yummies will be great, I'm sure. Winterguard- I'm back and I'm really pushing hard this time. I know what it's like not be performing so now that I can I'm busting my butt and I hope that it shows!

Things I Love Friday!HALLOWEEN IS TOMORROW! - That TOTALLY merits a post by itself, but since it hasn't happened yet, I'll post later. But I've got my costume all ready, (well, mostly) and the makeup set out. WOHOOOOOOOO! And not to mention HALLOWEEN STORES! I saw a costume for a "Mac Daddy" for a little kid as well as a "Lil Hobo" costume. No comment. Fall Break- Sacred, lovely free days. Om nom nom nom good food and sleeping whenever I want and having a CAR and driving wherever. It's so nice, even though the weather has been PMSing a bit. Half-Priced Books- I went to a new one with my dad, and I found back issues of Teen Vogue for FIFTY CENTS A PIECE. And these were back when it was like over 150 pages in length. I am so going back to that one.
Things I Love Sunday! No picture... Blogger isn't working (or at least my computer.) The New Breaking Benjamin CD- "Dear Agony" had great reviews before I bought it, and after, I agreed with the reviews. Some reviewers complained that it didn't have the ferocity and anger of 'Saturate' but I like this new direction. While 'We Are Not Alone' was my favorite album, 'Dear Agony' is getting up there. Ren Faires- Well, I've only been to the ones in my town, but this year I actually bought something- two tiny daggers in a black leather sheath. It was five bucks and while it wasn't of the highest quality it still is pretty great. Also, I got to say 'awesome' with a British accent and have some tea made by an authentic English person. She was cool. Reading analytical essays- If not just for the reason it makes me feel smart. And lots of essayists have good things to say. I'm reading "A Roof without Walls" by Murrin, which is about the Constitution protecting the United States but without any support (thus the lack of walls.) Quite interesting.
Things I Love SaturdayOur Founding Fathers - Arrogant, handsome, intelligent, loquacious men who penned the Constitution, studied the past to make the future a better place, arguing amongst themselves with cutting words and eloquent language. And they were people too, who had wives that they were insecure with (John/Abigail Adams), sex scandals (Hamilton) and many other stories. Classy nail polish- A girl needs the basics- black eyeliner, black mascara, brown eyeshadow, and of course, red nail polish. The lime green and neon pink are great but sometimes the classics win. Thus, the red toenails this week. I feel a little more debonair each minute.Doing college apps- More like finishing them, but I like applying and knowing that it could possibly be my future. Four down, four to go. I've completely changed which one I want to go to and it's a little... huge. Like, this vast thing in front of my face that expands into a swirling, chaotic future that I'm signing up for. I'm pretty excited.Being a listener- I like being able to sit there while other people pour it all out. Being an empathizer, I usually understand and can tell them, "It's okay." I have no advice but sometimes you just need to chuck it in the well. Finding steals- An art portfolio, awesome colors with a black background, with headphones, cassettes, iPods, etc on it. Looks a little scene but secretly, I've always kind of liked some of the concepts of that. It cost a buck at Borders and I plan to store my poetry and pics in there.
Things I Love Monday! Three Day Weekends- I really like being able to sleep in for another day, even though I usually wake up at the same time... well, it's like sleeping in when I'm set in that mentality. Also, I can just goof off and computer it up. Getting College Stuff- Okay, so it's a lot of work applying and doing scholarships and all that jiffy but I'm slowly gaining a thrill of excitement for the year to come. It's like I'm in a car going up a hill, I can't see what's over the top but I know it's somewhere great. Pot Roast- Yummy yummy potatoes and beef and carrots and onions and gravy. Healthy? Hells no. Tasty? Heaven yes. Restoring an old laptop- I have a laptop! Yes! I can write on it, decorate it, and stuff it full of my music without my parents complaining. Yayyayyayyayyay. I use the word yay a lot but I think it encompasses quite a lot.
Things I Love Sunday!Alas, I have been struck by a cold. :( But the doc says that three days for the sore throat, weeks for the sniffles. I'll just deal, that's alright. I hope the headache leaves before anything else...GenCon- Eeee GenCon was great! I wish I had more time (I had to leave early for a family thing at 3, after getting there around 10ish) but c'est la vie. I dressed up in my faerie costume with fake wings, my faux corset, black leggings and blue short skirt. I got asked for several photos and felt pretty awesome. Not to mention I scoured the art area and got some great deals, and had an awesome time just looking around. The Halo Warthog figure I got is great, and I have many a plan for this in photoshoots. I can't wait to go next year, I'm TOTALLY going to amp up my costume like none other. Rawr. Actually doing college stuff- I feel like I'm entering a new phase of my life, and this decision I make in the next four months will decide my next four YEARS. It's scary and exciting at the same time. I'm looking at IU, WashU, Oberlin, OSU, and many others... it boggles the mind. Not to mention my career and jobs and future investments AHHH!My classes- My favorites right now are AP Language and Composition, AP French, Programming, German, Principles of Engineering, AP Gov... the only reason why ACP Calc isn't in there is because it's math. If it wasn't, I'd love the class just for the teacher. She's great!
